About This Page
AnyTrack is a TikTok Marketing Partner. This page explains how data flows between your website, AnyTrack, and TikTok when you connect the TikTok Ads integration: what AnyTrack collects, how it's processed, and how your users' personal data is protected along the way.
It complements our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum, which govern how AnyTrack handles personal data across the entire platform. For setup instructions and technical documentation, see the TikTok Ads integration guide.
What the TikTok Ads Integration Does
When you connect TikTok Ads to your AnyTrack account, the integration provides three functions:
- Ad campaign reporting. AnyTrack fetches your campaign performance data (amount spent, impressions, clicks, attributed results) from your TikTok ad account into your AnyTrack dashboard, so you can see spend and revenue side by side.
- Conversion API. AnyTrack sends your conversion events to TikTok server-side through the Conversion API. Server-side delivery reaches TikTok even when the browser cannot trigger the pixel, so your campaigns optimize on accurate, deduplicated conversion data instead of whatever survives ad blockers, cookie expiry, and abandoned page loads.
- Tag management. The AnyTrack Tracking Tag loads and manages the TikTok Pixel on your website, with no manual code implementation. The pixel AnyTrack loads carries deduplication parameters, so browser events and server-side events for the same conversion are counted once, not twice.
What Data AnyTrack Collects
AnyTrack collects data from three places when the TikTok Ads integration is active:
From your website, via the AnyTrack Tracking Tag:
- Campaign parameters on the landing page URL: UTM parameters, referrer data, and the TikTok click ID (
ttclid) - First-party identifiers: session IDs and the AnyTrack click ID that threads a visitor's journey together
- Web events your visitors trigger, such as
ViewContent,AddToCart, andFormSubmit
From your connected conversion sources:
- Conversion events (purchases, leads, signups) sent by the platforms you've connected to AnyTrack, such as your shop, funnel builder, or CRM
- Event attributes attached to those conversions: order value, currency, transaction ID, product details, and customer data (such as email, phone, and name) when your conversion source provides them
From your TikTok ad account:
- Campaign structure and performance metrics, used only to populate your AnyTrack reports
AnyTrack collects customer data attributes only when your website or conversion source provides them with an event. You control which sources are connected and which events are sent.
How AnyTrack Processes the Data
Every event is stored in AnyTrack's Data Store and processed in real time before anything is sent to TikTok:
- Normalization and hashing. Customer identifiers such as email and phone are normalized (lowercased and trimmed) and hashed with SHA-256 automatically before delivery. Raw identifiers are not exposed in the Conversion API payload.
- Deduplication. AnyTrack tags every conversion with a shared event ID, so when both the TikTok Pixel and the server-side event report the same purchase, TikTok counts it once.
- Event mapping. Your events are mapped to TikTok's standard events according to your Event Mapping configuration, which you control from the AnyTrack dashboard.
- Attribution. Conversions are matched back to the originating ad click using first-party data and UTM parameters. Because TikTok does not append UTM parameters automatically, AnyTrack provides a UTM tracking template for your ads and verifies that your ads carry it, so TikTok receives correctly attributed events.
What AnyTrack Sends to TikTok
AnyTrack sends mapped conversion events to TikTok through the Conversion API in real time. Each event includes the event name, event attributes (value, currency, transaction ID), the TikTok click ID when available, hashed customer data, and the shared event ID used for deduplication. Richer, hashed customer data improves your Event Match Quality, which means better attribution and better campaign optimization.
Once TikTok receives the data, TikTok processes it under its own terms and policies for advertisers and business tools. You can verify what AnyTrack sends by running test events against TikTok's Test Event tab before going live, and inspect live event data in the Web Diagnostics tab in TikTok Ads Manager.
Ad Account Access and Permissions
You connect your TikTok Ads account to AnyTrack through TikTok's standard authorization flow. The AnyTrack app generates and rotates the required access token automatically; you never paste tokens or credentials manually.
AnyTrack uses this access to sync campaign data into your reports and to verify that your ads carry the correct UTM tracking template. If you use the budget management feature, AnyTrack also adjusts TikTok campaign budgets, but only when you initiate the change from your AnyTrack dashboard. AnyTrack does not modify your creatives, targeting, or ads on its own.
How Your Users Are Protected
- First-party collection. The Tracking Tag runs on your own domain and collects first-party data. AnyTrack doesn't rely on third-party cookies to track your visitors.
- Hashing before delivery. Personal identifiers are hashed with SHA-256 and normalized before they leave AnyTrack for TikTok.
- Consent stays in your control. As described in our Data Processing Addendum, you are responsible for obtaining consent from your website visitors through your consent management setup. AnyTrack processes data on your behalf, in accordance with your configuration.
- GDPR and CCPA commitments. AnyTrack's data protection obligations, security measures, and sub-processor commitments are documented in the Data Processing Addendum and Privacy Policy.
Your Choices
You can disconnect the TikTok Ads integration from your AnyTrack dashboard at any time, or revoke the AnyTrack app's access from your TikTok Ads account. Disconnecting stops all data syncing between AnyTrack and TikTok for that account.
