How Does AnyTrack Compare to Northbeam?
These are different products doing different jobs. Northbeam is an eCommerce measurement suite: multi-touch attribution, creative analytics, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling (the analyst-grade budget models) as an Enterprise add-on, built for large DTC brands running experiment-based growth. AnyTrack is a conversion tracking platform: it collects every conversion, including the gap between what Meta reports and what your Shopify checkout shows, enriches it in the Data Store, and delivers it to your ad platforms' Conversion APIs so their bidding learns from real sales.
Server-side tracking earns its keep either way: 11% uplift in conversion signals (Google Data, 2025). The difference is where those signals go. A dashboard improves the decisions a person makes, as often as that person looks at it. Enriched signals improve the decisions the algorithm makes, on every auction, all day. With creative production and ad delivery both automated, the second loop is the one running your account most of the time.
If you have an analyst to run budget models and the spend to justify quote-based enterprise tooling, Northbeam is genuinely built for you. This page is for everyone else.

The part nobody puts on a pricing page
Picture the actual decision. You approve the budget. You pull in a developer. You change your DNS, you re-tag every campaign and accept that your ads may re-enter a learning phase, and you wait two to four weeks. Then you open the dashboard, the numbers don't match Shopify, and the honest answer to "is this right?" is a shrug.
That's a lot of money, time, and internal goodwill to spend before you find out.
Northbeam isn't hiding any of this. Their own CEO explained the price plainly when they announced their agency partnership: "Northbeam is an expensive product to run because we do astronomically more data processing than anyone else doing what we do. That's made it hard to support smaller businesses directly." That's an honest answer, and it tells you exactly who the product is for.
AnyTrack asks for a tag, a webhook, and ten minutes, on a plan you can cancel. If it doesn't earn its place, you've lost an afternoon.
Switching Doesn't Mean Re-Tagging Every Ad
The reason most marketers stay on a tracker they've outgrown isn't the product. It's the hundreds of live ads they think they'd have to re-tag by hand to leave.
You don't have to touch them one at a time.
AnyTrack attributes conversions on standard UTM parameters. Your current tracker's own parameters sit alongside them without conflict, so nothing has to come off your ads before you can test us.
What AnyTrack needs is the ID-based parameters your ad platform fills in when it serves the ad: the campaign, ad set, and ad IDs. If your ads already carry them, there's nothing to change. If they don't, copy one template from Tracking Pixels → Ads Integrations and bulk apply it. Meta updates every selected ad in a single edit. Google Ads takes it once at account level.
Then you click Verify Ads Settings. AnyTrack checks your live campaigns and marks each one green, yellow, or red, and tells you what's wrong with the yellow ones.
Running affiliate offers?
The same principle applies to your networks. AnyTrack generates the postback URL for each connected network, and AutoTag appends that network's own tracking parameter to your links automatically, so there's no sub-ID plumbing to hand-build.
For how to run both tools at once without double-counting conversions, see the trial sequence in the FAQ below.
What Switching Actually Takes
<>
One Bulk Edit
Meta applies the template to every selected ad in a single edit. Google Ads takes it once at account level.
<>
Keep Your UTM Tags
AnyTrack attributes on standard UTM parameters. Your current tracker's own parameters don't conflict with them.
<>
Verify In One Click
Verify Ads Settings marks every campaign green, yellow, or red, and tells you what's wrong with the yellow ones.
Single Source of Truth Across Channels
We were dealing with overlapping data and misreporting across all of our channels (Meta, Taboola, Google, and TikTok), with every channel over-reporting and claiming credit for the same purchases. It made reliable attribution nearly impossible. Since switching to AnyTrack three years ago, everything has fallen into place. It's now our single source of truth for tracking across every channel.

FAQ
Top FAQs from marketers comparing Northbeam and AnyTrack
Not one by one. AnyTrack attributes conversions using standard UTM parameters, so any tags already on your ads keep working, and your current tracker's own parameters don't conflict with ours.
What AnyTrack needs is the ID-based parameters that identify the campaign, ad set, and ad. On Meta Ads those are utm_id, adset_id, and ad_id. On Google Ads they're utm_id, utm_content, creativeId, and adgroupid, each filled by a ValueTrack macro. If your ads already carry them, there's nothing to change.
If they don't, copy the template from Tracking Pixels → Ads Integrations and bulk apply it: Meta updates every selected ad in one edit, and Google Ads takes it once at account level.
Not quite, and pretending otherwise wouldn't help you.
Northbeam is a measurement suite: multi-touch attribution, creative analytics, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling as an Enterprise add-on. Its output is insight for you and your team.
AnyTrack is a conversion tracking platform. Its output is enriched conversion signals delivered to your ad platforms via the Conversion API, so Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok bid on real sales instead of incomplete data. You get the reports too (Campaign Report, Conversions Report), but the signal delivery is the job.
They can coexist. The question is which job you're hiring for, and what your size and team make practical.
Because they aren't meant to, and Northbeam says so themselves.
Their switching guide tells new customers that when comparing Northbeam's total revenue and orders against an internal source of truth like a Shopify dashboard, "it's very common to see differences in the data." Their documentation carries a standing article titled "Why Doesn't Northbeam Match My Shopify Reporting?"
That isn't a defect. It's what modelled attribution does. A machine learning model estimates how credit should be split across touchpoints, and the output is an estimate, not a ledger. For budget-level questions, that's a reasonable trade.
✅ AnyTrack works the other way around. It recovers the click ID for each conversion and matches the sale to the click that produced it, then delivers that conversion to your ad platforms. When you compare the Campaign Report against your store's orders, you're comparing two counts of the same events, not a count against a model.
Both approaches are legitimate. One of them you can reconcile.
No, and we won't pretend it does. AnyTrack runs two click-based attribution models, First Ad Click and Last Ad Click, switchable in the Campaign Report. There is no post-view attribution and no MMM.
Here's the honest trade: MMM and multi-touch models help a team analyze budget allocation across channels. AnyTrack's job is upstream of that: making sure every conversion, including the ones browsers drop, reaches your ad platforms enriched with the click and customer data that lifts Event Match Quality. Richer signals mean better attribution and improved ROAS inside the platforms where bidding actually happens.
If MMM is a hard requirement, Northbeam is built for that. If your CPA problem is that platforms can't see your real conversions, that's the problem AnyTrack solves.
And for the number you report on Monday: the Campaign Report is one consistent source of truth across every channel, with the attribution model (First or Last Ad Click) switchable in a dropdown. Same report, same rules, week over week. That's a number you can defend.
Northbeam publishes the answer in their implementation guide: 2 to 4 weeks for Shopify brands with light dev work, and 4 to 8 weeks for non-Shopify brands, depending on your dev team's availability.
The steps behind those weeks are the part that hurts on a client account. You need a DNS A-record on the client's domain, a Content Security Policy change to allow it, their pixel installed site-wide, order data flowing through the Shopify app or the Orders API, and their UTM parameters attached to every campaign. Their docs also note that adding those UTMs may reset ads into a learning phase.
Two more that land specifically on agencies. Ad account connections are tied to the individual who made them, so if that person loses admin access the account disconnects, and their own guidance is that someone brand-side should connect the accounts rather than you. And their Apex integration needs a Meta permission that agency-managed accounts typically don't carry, so the brand has to reconnect.
✅ With AnyTrack, a new client is a new Property: install one Tracking Tag, connect their stack from the Integration Catalog, and conversions start flowing. Each client stays cleanly separated, with their own Tracking Tag and integrations. You can have a client reporting before the kickoff call is over, and you don't need their DNS or a developer to do it.
Then you're below Northbeam's entry tier. Their published pricing starts at $1,500 a month for brands under $1.5M a year in media spend, Shopify only at that tier, with quote-based pricing above it. That's a deliberate choice to serve large brands well, not a flaw.
They've said as much themselves. Announcing an agency partnership in April 2026, Northbeam co-founder and CEO Austin Harrison explained: "Northbeam is an expensive product to run because we do astronomically more data processing than anyone else doing what we do. That's made it hard to support smaller businesses directly." Their answer was to route smaller brands through an agency as a managed service.
✅ AnyTrack's answer is a plan you can start today. Plans are public, scale by monthly sessions, and start where you are. Install the Tracking Tag, connect your stack from the Integration Catalog, and prove it on your own traffic with the 14-day free trial. No demo call unless you want one.
That question had a "both" answer a few years ago. It doesn't anymore.
Look at what's already automated on either end of your campaign. Creative production: AI now generates variants faster than any team can review them. Delivery and bidding: Advantage+, Smart Bidding, and Smart Performance decide who sees which ad, at what price, on every auction.
Both ends run continuously. The reporting loop in the middle runs once a day, because that's how often a human can reasonably look. The bottleneck isn't the analysis. It's the cadence. No amount of dashboard quality closes a gap between a decision made daily and an auction settled thousands of times an hour.
So here's the honest answer: a dashboard is where you see the result. It isn't where the result gets made. The result gets made inside the ad platform, on every auction, using the conversion data you sent it. Feed the algorithm incomplete data and it optimizes confidently toward the wrong people. Feed it every real sale, with the click ID recovered and hashed customer data attached, and Event Match Quality rises, attribution sharpens, and bidding starts finding more buyers like the ones who already bought.
Your ad platform's AI is only as smart as the data you feed it.
✅ That's the job AnyTrack does: every conversion, enriched and delivered to Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and Microsoft Ads through the Conversion API, in real time. You still get the reports. The reports just aren't the lever anymore.
This is where the products diverge fastest. Northbeam positions itself for eCommerce brands. AnyTrack tracks whatever your funnel actually looks like: 91 affiliate network integrations, 13 lead generation platforms, and 9 eCommerce platforms, plus cross-domain funnels where the click lands on one domain and the checkout happens on another. A Shopify store connects through the Shopify integration in the Integration Catalog, and purchases track automatically with no manual event setup.
Each site is its own Property with its own Tracking Tag and integrations, so multi-store operators and agencies keep every account cleanly separated.
Yes, and here is exactly what changes and what doesn't.
Your browser tags don't change. Keep your Meta and Google tags firing. AnyTrack sends its server events with matching event IDs, so the ad platform deduplicates the browser and server pair. Your dashboards keep working too; AnyTrack doesn't touch them.
One server-side sender per event. If another system already sends server-side conversions for the same purchases (a native store app, for example), don't run two at once: platforms often can't match payloads from different vendors because the event attributes differ. Connecting an ad platform in the Integration Catalog is the step that starts Conversion API sending, so the clean trial is: connect your conversion sources first, compare the AnyTrack dashboard against your platform numbers, and save the ad platform connection for cutover, switching the other server-side sender off when you make it.
And you don't need a quarter of data to judge it: within days you'll see conversions arriving in the dashboard with click IDs attached, which is the mechanism doing its job.
No, and Northbeam's own documentation is the clearest source on this.
Apex takes the attribution Northbeam has already calculated and sends it to Meta as a scoring signal, so Meta's algorithm optimizes against Northbeam's model instead of last click. Their docs are explicit that these are custom event types, not Purchase events, and that they don't affect Event Match Quality. Apex tells Meta how to score the conversions Meta already has. Something still has to get those conversions there in the first place.
Northbeam says the same thing in their Apex FAQ. Asked whether customers should switch off an existing enrichment tool, their answer is no: don't turn off or change your existing pixel or Conversion API setup, because the two layers are complementary rather than redundant.
✅ That delivery layer is the one AnyTrack owns, and it runs wider: every conversion delivered to Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and Microsoft Ads, with the click ID recovered and the event deduplicated before it leaves.
Marketers comparing tracking options kept asking where AnyTrack sits relative to Northbeam. To answer it properly, we read Northbeam's published pricing page, their product documentation, and their own blog posts, then compared the two products by the job each one does. Every claim on this page about Northbeam comes from something they published.
